Ms. Silver continues to entertain and engage readers in this second installment. Character development is consistent with the first including plot twists that are both surprising and endearing. We're rooting for the heroine and her allies as good battles evil. Looking forward to the third volume!

A fun, regency era fantasy, complete with an intelligent, observant, cool headed heroine; a fantasy espionage school that is the sort every girl secretly dreams of attending; the most loveable and supporting friends; court intrigue and mystery; and a handsome prince. The book takes place over a year, and going through the months and seasons with the heroine leaves you feeling like maybe you got to attend school with her too and grow your own confidence along the way. The worldbuilding includes time keeping, history, etiquette and customs with a dash of mystery and ancient ways potentially resurrecting. An entertaining first installment to the trilogy. Looking forward to reading the next books!

The writing is excellent. The tale is exciting with just a bit of romance. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series!!!!!

I have read traditionally published books that did not have half the heart and soul that this book does. The characters are wonderful, the plot is captivating, and pacing is great. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up.

This is book one of the Legacy of the Lost Empire series. This is an epic fantasy with the start of a slow burn romance. The twists and unexpected turns keep you reading and turning the pages. The world building is detailed and imaginative. It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention. This book has strong, well-developed characters, an interesting story line full of suspense, danger, action, mystery, unexpected twists, passion, and an ending that left me wanting to read the next book in the series. This is off to a fantastic start in this epic fantasy series! With strong heroines, enigmatic Princes, power plays, legacies, politics and forbidden romance, this epic read pulls you in and holds your attention from start to finish. Marguerite’s kingdom is in danger and so she must step up and do her part. Training in secret, there’s darkness, there’s drama, there’s twists and turns and there is descriptive and incredible world building. This has my attention and I am eager for more!
